Patient assistance programs (PAPs) are typically run by drug manufacturers or nonprofit organizations to provide medications at reduced or no cost to patients who meet income or insurance-status eligibility criteria. Manufacturers of GLP-1 medications often operate PAPs for uninsured or underinsured patients, separate from savings cards aimed at insured patients.
