Fast responder

A fast responder is someone whose body responds strongly to a GLP-1 medication early in treatment — often showing significant appetite suppression, nausea, or weight loss even at starting or low doses. Response speed varies widely between individuals due to factors like metabolism, genetics, and body composition, and being a fast responder isn't necessarily better; it can also mean a higher likelihood of side effects, sometimes requiring a slower titration than the standard schedule.
