Weight loss can raise testosterone — often without testosterone therapy
Excess weight lowers testosterone. That's exactly what the data show. The fertility difference between a GLP-1 and testosterone therapy
This is the part many men don't know: testosterone therapy (TRT) can shut down sperm production. Supplemental testosterone signals the brain to stop the hormones (LH and FSH) that drive the testes, which shrinks fertility — sometimes lastingly.
GLP-1 medications appear to do the opposite. Protect your muscle — and your bones

Losing weight but ending up weaker is a bad trade.

The heart — and the checkup men tend to skip
Men carry higher baseline cardiovascular risk and, on average, engage with healthcare less. Sleep apnea: more common in men, and now directly treatable
Obstructive sleep apnea is more common in men and heavily tied to excess weight — and it's easy to miss behind "just snoring." The bottom line
For men, a GLP-1 often does two jobs at once: it takes off weight, and in doing so it can lift testosterone that the weight was suppressing — while, unlike testosterone therapy, generally preserving fertility. The genuine gains (hormones, heart, maybe sexual function) come bundled with a genuine risk (muscle and bone loss) that strength training and protein are built to offset.
