GLP-1 face

Updated Jul 14, 2026

"GLP-1 face" (sometimes called "Ozempic face") is an informal term describing a gaunt or aged facial appearance that can result from rapid fat loss in the face, combined with reduced skin elasticity. It isn't a distinct medical condition or a direct drug side effect — it's a byproduct of significant, fast weight loss by any method, made more visible with GLP-1s because of how quickly and substantially people lose weight.
